Greetings and Welcome to the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund USA (NMCF USA)
As we watch rapid change occur around the world, we continue to search for new ways to fulfill our mission of changing the way society treats its children. Our intent is to engage our supporters and donors in being a part of Nelson Mandela's dream (see quotations below).
Here in the United States the NMCF affiliate is focused on increasing the visibility of the Fund and garnering support for its programs. We are appealing to those interested in joining others committed to ensuring the brightest future for South Africa. In many ways, last year was South Africa's time to shine. South Africa hosted the World Cup and the success of this world event created an awareness of the developmental growth and possibilities that lie ahead for this remarkable country.
Recently the Fund launched its largest and most impactful institutive – the Nelson Mandela Children's Hospital (NMCH). Born out of the heart of the CEO of NMCF, Bongi Mkhabela, and sanctioned by Madiba, this medical facility will be a world class teaching hospital providing medical services for children in Gauteng and the surrounding area.
This website offers information and updates on NMCF USA's activities, programs and strategic initiatives on the ground in South Africa while providing you with the opportunity to give. Please join us in making a difference.
